Regarding the Interim Government's Term, the United Nations Says:

The question of how long the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus will remain in power has now been raised in the United Nations' regular press briefing. UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said during the briefing yesterday, Monday, that the UN hopes a clear timeline will be provided soon for the re-establishment of democratic governance.

During the briefing, a journalist asked if the UN had any estimate on how long the interim government in Bangladesh might remain in place to ensure justice, a functional economy, democracy, the rule of law, and a transparent and accountable government, considering institutional reforms. In response, the Deputy Spokesperson said, "We are in contact with the interim government of Bangladesh. We hope that an open and inclusive process for forming the government will continue. A clear timeline for the re-establishment of democratic governance will be announced soon."

In another question, it was mentioned that three journalists were killed during the student protests. Following Sheikh Hasina's departure from the country on August 5, there have been attacks on many media offices and journalists. The National Press Club's President and General Secretary's rooms were also looted. What is the UN's response to this situation?
