Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government, paid tribute to the language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital. On Friday (August 9), around 11:15 a.m., the Chief Advisor paid his respects at the Shaheed Minar located in the Dhaka Medical College campus
During the tribute, the Chief Advisor stood in silent homage for a while. Later, Dr. Yunus, accompanied by other advisors, paid their respects once again at the Central Shaheed Minar with flowers.
Earlier, the Chief Advisor, along with other advisors, had paid tribute to the martyrs of the Great Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar. This tribute took place on Friday morning around 10 a.m.
On Thursday (August 8), shortly after 9:15 p.m., Dr. Muhammad Yunus took the oath as Chief Advisor of the interim government at Bangabhaban. Following this, the other advisors also took their oaths, and Dr. Yunus delivered a speech to the nation.
