The first presidential debate between Trump and Harris is scheduled for September 10. It is anticipated that the results of this poll will further energize Democratic Party supporters. According to the Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll, 49% of American voters prefer Kamala Harris for president, while 45% support Donald Trump.
Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate and Indian-American, has already made history as the first female Vice President of the United States. If she wins the election on November 5, she would also make history as the first female President.
Previously, a poll conducted in the third week of July by Reuters-Ipsos showed that 44% of American voters supported Harris for president, while 42% supported Trump. This means that in just one month, Harris’s lead over Trump has increased from 2% to 4%. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has arrived in Chicago to attend the Democratic Party's National Convention. Before this, at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, she called Trump a “coward.”
