Savannah Chrisley is honoring the memory of her ex-fiancé, Nic Kerdiles, one year after his tragic passing. The *Growing Up Chrisley* star recently shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to commemorate the anniversary of Nic’s death, who passed away in September 2023 following a motorcycle accident.
"I can't believe it's been a year...,” the 27-year-old wrote on her Instagram Story on September 23, alongside a video montage of photos and clips of the couple. “Still don't want to believe it.”
In another post, Savannah shared a photo from their engagement shoot next to a pile of white roses and a Bible verse, expressing her gratitude for the signs she believes Nic continues to send her. “Thank you for all the signs you send me,” she wrote.
Nic, a former professional hockey player turned real estate agent, tragically lost his life after colliding with an SUV while riding his motorcycle in a residential area of Nashville. He was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries at the age of 29.
In the wake of his death, Savannah, who was in a relationship with Nic from 2017 to 2020, posted an emotional tribute on Instagram. “Nicolas Henry Stephan Kerdiles… I wish you could see all the people that are showing up and loving you right now. I can see that grin of yours so clearly. You left such a mark on this world and it’s so empty without you…” she wrote. “It is impossible to believe that you are really gone. I am not sure how to even absorb that news, I don’t know how to react. I am so sad and so numb.”
Savannah also spoke about Nic on an episode of her *Unlocked* podcast, just two weeks after his passing. Reflecting on their six-year relationship, she shared, “Nic made a huge impact on my life and left such a mark on this world. I cannot tell you how many people have reached out and told me stories about how Nic had impacted their life.”
She concluded with a powerful message: “If his passing teaches us anything, it’s to love and love hard. To treat people with kindness because that’s exactly what he did. So Nic, I love you, you’ll be missed, and you left a mark.”
