METALLICA has officially announced the extension of its record-breaking "M72" world tour into a third year, adding 21 North American shows set for April, May, and June 2025.
Tickets for the newly announced No Repeat Weekends, as well as single-night engagements, will go on sale September 27 at 10 a.m. local time, with fan club pre-sales starting September 23 at the same time.

Since launching in April 2023 in Amsterdam, the "M72" tour has captivated around three million fans. It has received widespread acclaim, being described as "an altogether life-affirming experience" (Billboard), "impossible to leave unsatisfied" (Austin Chronicle), and "a stone-cold stunner of a show" (Detroit News). The tour will wrap up its 2024 leg with four nights at Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros, entertaining over 250,000 fans across two No Repeat Weekends.
The 2025 tour will continue the beloved No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each two-night stand featuring completely different setlists and supporting acts. Highlights include METALLICA’s first shows in Nashville in five years on May 1 and 3 at Nissan Stadium, and a return to Tampa after 15 years on June 6 and 8 at Raymond James Stadium. The band will also perform in their Bay Area hometown on June 20 and 22, marking their debut at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
In an exciting addition, "M72" 2025 will feature several single shows with full production, including appearances at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse on April 19 and Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, on May 7—an event coinciding with Virginia Tech’s tradition of "Enter Sandman."
Alongside stadium shows, the tour will include two festival headlining performances: the opening night on April 12 at Sick New World in Las Vegas, and a two-night No Repeat Weekend at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 9 and 11.
Supporting acts for the 2025 North American run include PANTERA, LIMP BIZKIT, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, and ICE NINE KILLS.
Fans can also look forward to METALLICA's much-anticipated return to Australia and New Zealand in 2025. Stay tuned to Metallica.com for more updates.
