Disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has been accused of leading a brutal gang rape in a new lawsuit filed by a Bay Area woman. According to the 63-page lawsuit, the assault took place in an Orinda apartment and involved Combs, his entourage, and his friend Shane Pearce. The lawsuit alleges the attack was triggered by comments the woman made about Combs' involvement in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.
The lawsuit claims the events began in February 2018, when the woman met Pearce at a bar. After an altercation with another patron, Pearce "rescued" her and later called Combs on FaceTime to impress onlookers. The woman reportedly mentioned that Combs was involved in Shakur’s death, prompting Combs to allegedly threaten that she would "pay" for the comment.
A month later, on March 23, 2018, the woman visited Pearce at his Orinda apartment under the guise of helping him with cancer medication. However, upon returning to the apartment after a car ride, Combs arrived with his entourage. According to the lawsuit, Combs forced his way into the home and threatened the woman with a knife, while his associate, Kristina Khorram, made additional threats about trafficking the woman.
The complaint details a horrific sequence of events in which Combs and several other men allegedly raped the woman. Following the assault, Combs reportedly drugged her and later attempted to pay her to claim the encounter was consensual. When she refused, the lawsuit alleges, Combs threatened her family and showed her a livestream of her sister’s home.
In a dramatic turn of events, the woman managed to fight back, injuring Combs with a knife before fleeing the apartment. Gunfire reportedly broke out as the attackers fled the scene in an SUV. Despite telling a sheriff’s deputy about the rape, the lawsuit claims she received little help from law enforcement at the time.
The lawsuit further alleges that the woman was retraumatized in 2024 by the news of multiple civil suits and a federal criminal investigation against Combs. This prompted her to seek legal action, naming Combs, his accomplices, and those who allegedly abetted the crime. The woman is now seeking a jury trial.
Combs, currently in federal prison in Brooklyn, is awaiting trial on sex trafficking and other charges. The lawsuit describes him as exploiting his power and influence to manipulate and abuse his victims, claiming his behavior spanned decades.
