Job Overview
The Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Office of Fleet Management is seeking an Administrative Specialist for the Vehicle Maintenance Section. This role will support the Fleet Service Writer (Administrative Specialist Senior) and provide professional administrative services to ensure smooth operations of the Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, review, and maintain automotive repair orders and records.
Assist Fleet customers using an agency-specific system.
Provide general administrative support across the Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Division.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service abilities with problem-solving experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
Accuracy in data entry and task management.
Previous experience as a liaison in the automotive customer service field.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience: One year of professional administrative or business experience.
Education Substitution: Additional education can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience Substitution: Additional administrative, business, research, or clerical experience can substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Working Conditions:
The position primarily involves working in an office or maintenance facility environment.

This position has a 6-month probationary period, as per KRS 18A.111.
