Amazon appears to have accidentally leaked details of the upcoming Mac mini, expected to be officially unveiled by Apple this week, showcasing a range of new features and configurations.
According to a product comparison chart found in Amazon’s iMac listing, the new Mac mini will offer options with M4 and M4 Pro chips, featuring up to a 14-core CPU and a 20-core GPU. RAM configurations for the new model reach up to 64GB—double the current 32GB limit, marking a significant upgrade in memory capacity. Storage options reportedly still top out at 8TB, maintaining parity with the previous Mac mini model.
The chart also displays a small image suggesting the new Mac mini will include two front-facing USB-C ports. While it’s unclear if these will support Thunderbolt 4, this feature aligns with recent rumors. The image also hints at a potential front-facing headphone jack, though the small, blurry image makes confirmation difficult.
Interestingly, the comparison chart shows the Mac mini to be noticeably smaller than the current model, potentially closer in size to an Apple TV, as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has suggested.
For fans of the Space Black finish, the new Mac mini will reportedly be available only in Silver, continuing the tradition of the current model.
The Amazon comparison chart, likely sourced from Apple itself, was removed shortly after the leak but appears to have provided an authentic glimpse of the upcoming Mac mini, which Apple is expected to announce by Wednesday.
