Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia isn't planning to remove her matching tattoo with ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan, even after their recent split. The 25-year-old Barstool Media personality took to TikTok on Sunday to explain why she’s keeping the ink — a “How lucky are we?” tattoo, inspired by Bryan’s song "28."
“I see people saying, ‘Are you going to get your tattoo removed now?’” LaPaglia said in her video, sitting in her car. “But this tattoo was my idea. It’s mine, and now we just happen to match. I’m not getting rid of it.”
The tattoo phrase, “How lucky are we?”, is a line from Bryan’s song “28.” While fans speculated that the song was about LaPaglia — given the lyrics referencing Boston and their relationship — Bryan clarified in a July interview with American Songwriter that it was actually about their puppy, Boston. “I wrote it after our dog went through surgery,” he explained. “I felt like the luckiest guy to still have her with us.”
Despite this clarification, the breakup drama between the two has been anything but simple. On October 22, Bryan announced their split after more than a year of dating. LaPaglia responded hours later, saying she was “blindsided” by his post and decided to take a social media break to process the news. She also took time off from her Barstool podcast, “BFFs,” where she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.
During a recent episode of “BFFs” on November 7, LaPaglia opened up about their relationship, accusing Bryan, 28, of emotional abuse. She revealed that she had hesitated to speak out due to fear of his reaction, saying, “My brain’s rewired, and I’m scared to make him mad.”
LaPaglia also claimed that Bryan offered her $12 million to stay silent about their relationship and breakup, a tactic she alleged he used with previous exes. She declined the offer and shared details of their turbulent moments, including arguments at her birthday and the Super Bowl party.
